The second Riata Poker Night had 46 players at 6 tables to start. The play was fast and furious, with the tournament finishing by 10:00! The $50 cash first prize was taken by Matt Workman when his A7 offsuit held up against Steven Smith's unsuited J3. Steven went into heads-up play outchipped 6-1 and needed to catch some breaks to come back, but they just weren't there. The final hand saw both players get all-in preflop. An Ace, King, and Ten hit on the flop, giving Matt top pair, but giving Steven a chance to catch a Queen to make a straight. Sixes on the turn and the river sealed Steven's fate. |
